The swedish invation in Casa Fitz Roy has been a total succes, for more then three mounths time we´ve been staying in this hostal. Staying for longer times and then leaving for traveling just to come back when Bs As has been the next destination. It´s been a great time to say the least. We can gladly recomend this hostal for both long stayings aswell as shorter. If your looking for a hostal with a family fealing this is the place.

it`s the best place to stay and to meet people in Buenos Aires, the people that stay there is lovely must of them are students and volunteers from everywhere,
Matias (deskclerck) and Gary (owner) do everything to make you feel at home, i spend 2 weeks in La casa Fitz Roy I was very sad when i have to leave it =(

We stayed here for three nights and were sorely dissapointed. It doesnt take much to keep us happy either. In 7 months of travel through Asia, Europe and Sth America this was maybe our least favourite place to stay. We payed 30 US a night for a double room which was right next tot he entrance and so could hear every single person come in and out, every phone call the staff answered and were even awakened in the morning (we are talking six am after getting home at five) by the staff laughing and talking to each other. Room had a small fan that didnt work, as the room was a sauna brought this up with the staff who basically said that was bad luck...... that was it. Breakfast was poor, bathrooms a disgrace and the fridge had more food than a small army camp crammed in it. Long term stayers were nice though and the location is quite good. Also the common room was good to chill out in, still cant bring myself to reccommend people pa money for this, could be a different story in the dorms as they were further back. DONT GO THE PRIVATE ROOM.

La Casa Fitz Roy is an early twentieth century house with colonial style and has been recently remodeled, situated in Palermo Hollywood, a very nice area located near the heart of the city. Extended Continental Breakfast will be provided within the hostel, and is included (Coffee, tea, juice, cereals, bread, facturas argentinas, dulce de leche, butter). Open 24 hs.-Nocurfew. Security 24 hrs. Non-smoking except in Patio, and 1 breakfast table. Recreation room with TV ,cable, DVD Computers with free internet access + USB photo ports + WIFI A unique water system that guarantees 24hs of hot water. Tablefootball, Lockers Dining and fully equiped kitchen area where food can be stored and cooked; a big patio for indoor activ. Access to telephones, and for UK-Europe visitors we provide a London based incoming telephone (Free). For USA-Canada visitors we provide a Chicago based incoming Telephone(Free) BBQ(asado) area. Housekeeping 7 days a week. Emergency medical service. Language Courses. Tango lessons. Study room. Transp. to-from Airport and terminals (extra fee).
