Ok, The reception at Vila Carioca is awsome. It made me feel like I was at home. Everyone there is very friendly + very clean/safe place to stay.

This hostel is one of the best hostels in south america.Clean,fair price ,safe plus awsome location The staff is great and joyful. I have to go but I will come back for a couple a days before I leave Brazil. Thanks a lot guys. Special thanks to the cute Bernardo and sweet Eduarda. Bye guys See you soon.
Vila Carioca Hostel Rio de Janeiro is a newly remodeled 1938 mansion in a cozy villa with private security. We are very well located in Botafogo neighborhood, a 3 minute walk from both subway and Botafogo beach, in a lively residential area, with bars, restaurants, museums and a shopping mall. Botafogo is centrally located to move to the beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana, downtown Rio, Cristo Redentor and Sugar Loaf (check our map for distances). At Vila Carioca Hostel Rio de Janeiro you can make new friends and play with the little monkeys that jump around in the trees or just relax in our barbecue & bar area with little garden for sunbathing or just chill out in our home theater. Here we play the best Rio chorinho music (light Samba) and offer the best barbecue on sundays. Stay in Rio at Vila Carioca Hostel and feel the Rio lifestyle.
