Rooms are not really clean with dim lighting. You are given an extremely small piece of soap to last you through your stay. Not impressed. Owner should buck up and compete with their neighbours with better service. Don't ever take their tuk tuks. There are plenty from the streets.

Not as friendly as they claim to be. Try paying by credit card and they will insist on a on-top service fee, which is ridiculous. They have their own panel of tuk-tuk operators which over charges and use older vehicles. Certainly better (and cheaper) alternatives elsewhere.

Staff are not friendly and hardly smile. Do not make you feel welcomed. Pickup from airport is free , but on board a tricycle called a tuk-tuk. Makes you feel ridiculous , being the only three-wheeled 'open' transport leaving the airport. You are expected to take up their tuk-tuk service during your stay to compensate for the free pickup. Their prices quoted are 30% higher than what you can get if you hail a tuk-tuk off the road. Location of Mom's is side-by side a string of other guest houses offering cheaper rates. Unfortunately, you'll only realise this after you have booked and checked atound as most other gurst houses are not listed on the internet. Rooms are basic with private baths, however, linen and towels are not really clean. Mom's is located next to a restaurant which holds nightly shows. This means you will get a din every night until the end of the performance. There is no place in Moms to hang out, not even at their lounge area as there iare always family members lazing around the place. They seem to imply that your 'space' is in your room, nowhere else. With so many other guest houses in Siem Reap, one is spoilt for choice. There is no need for visitors to have to put up with the 'take-it-or-leave-it' attitude from Mom's.
