I would like to say that this place has been great!. The special attention given by Mrs Patricia made all of us feel like part of her family. The hostel was very clean and the furniture was very good. Definetly a place to stay if you are travelling to Punta Arenas on your way to Torres del Paine National Park. The breakfast was also great!
Hostal Maipu is located in the beautiful city of Punta Arenas, on the same street, in the heart of the Barrio Croata (The Croatian Neighborhood), one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, where it is still possible to admire and enjoy the old constructions, not far from the museums and the church.
This is a very good place for tourists who are looking for a warm, family hostel. Everything has been taken care of by the owner, Mrs Patricia, who attends all the travellers like real sons and daughters. It is good for groups too.
The hostel has 8 bedrooms (single, double and triple rooms) all the rooms are ensuite and they have TV.
We offer continental breakfast along with tours and information about the city.
We are very close to the centre so you can visit the local cemetery. Here is where you can see and enjoy the wonderful architecture from the first explorers who came to Punta Arenas, 100 years ago.
