Our hostel is in a heritage building built in 1919. It has large bedrooms, high ceilings, a tv lounge with a home theater, great windows and balconies, wooden floor, fully equipped kitchens and comfortable bathrooms. It’s atended by it’s owners, young geographers, lovers of the nature and the arts, whose purpose is to transmit the acquired knowledge of years of study about Chile and it’s people, specially about Valparaíso, World Heritage Site. Hostel NuevaMente is located in a typical residential and university neighbourhood in the heritage city, close to the bus Terminal (a 5 minute walk), to the train station “Barón” and to the beach (a 15 minute walk), to the Catholic Univeristy (10 minutes), Viña del Mar (15 minutes by bus), and to several polical, cultural and academic centres. We can say safely that the environment inside the hotel is excellent, there is youth, happiness, respect, amusement and friendship. We learn diverse languages, and know the cultures of many countries, looking and living from the own(proper) Chilean and sea culture.
