The Phoenix - Shanghai - Reviews & Contact Details

The Phoenix is a modern and comfortable hostel in the middle of Shanghai. It took me less than 5 minutes to walk from People's Square. The staff were friendly and were available whenever I wanted to chat - which is important when you travel alone. I could walk to all the major sites and take the metro to everywhere else I wanted to go. I could even walk home from the nightclub I checked out. The bar on the roof is great - tiny but relaxed. I could not eat enough of the Chinese leek and egg pancakes - they were delicious. I planned to stay for 2 nights but ended up staying 4 to really see as much of Shanghai as I could.
