This hostel is near the acropolis. It can be seen through the window of my room. The breakfast is good, with toast, fruit, orange juice, coffe (the coffe was a little bad...jejeje)
The rooms was very well for this prize (15euros/night aprox. for me).
The low prize surprised me because the hostel is very near from the acropolis, in the centre of the town, and we have breakfast and rooms with bath. If i come back to athens, probably i´ll stay another time in this hostel
Do not stay at this hotel. We had bad experiences and learnt from the tourist police (which we talked to) that Fivos hotel had many complaints and reports in the police department. (May 2006)
We had styued here 2 years ago and were not too pleased. We decided to take a risk and stay there again this year because of its low prices an were surpirsed to see the place had improved. We will stay here again for sure as were planning on coming back to Athens in June 06

Our HOSTEL, HOSTEL FIVOS is situated right in the very heart of Athens, WITH A DIRECT LINK TO THE AIRPORT making it the perfect base from which to explore this amazing city! It's easy to reach us; in fact Monastiraki metro station is only 50m from our door! There are easy transport links to the airport, the port at Pireas and, of course the many sites of historical and cultural interest.
A short walk from the hotel will take you to the areas of Monastiraki and Plaka, where you will find markets, shops of all descriptions, pavement cafes and restaurants.
Those of you wishing to taste the Athens nightlife can visit Psirri, just around the corner.
Step outside the hotel in the evening and glance to your right and you will be met by the awe-inspiring sight of the acropolis lit up against the night sky!
The hotel itself has a friendly atmosphere with English-speaking staff on hand 24hrs a day.
All rooms are clean and comfortable and have ensuite bathrooms. Rooms can accommodate from one up to four people as we have single, twin, double, triple and quad rooms.
Breakfast is provided in our sitting/dining area where guests can also relax and watch TV.
