We loved the Pink Palace! There was so much to do at this place, and the value was excellent. Two home cooked meals kept us full for the daily adventures on Corfu. We kayaked, 4-wheeled, hiked, snorkelled, and played volleyball. When we needed a break, we grabbed a cold drink at the beach kitchen or reception bar (24 hours) and relaxed on the lounge chairs at the beach. We stayed for ten days and were fully entertained the whole time. The views from the balcony, from the dining room, and on the Safaris cannot be beat. We're definitely coming back next year!

I went with my husband, although we were a little bit apprehensive after hearing Pink Palace was such a party place, butwe found that it was not just a place to party, but a place with options. The nightclub is a two minute walk from the rooms and completely soundproof. We were never onced disturbed by a loud drunk college student. The style of dining reminded me of a luxury cruiseline. The food was great and the staff was so helpful with booking, picking us up, getting my laptop to sign on to the free WiFi, and booking our activities (Quad rental, boat tour and kayak rental) The rooms were air conditioned, with a balcony and very very clean. I am glad that the Pink Palace was my first hostel experience! I will come back again

i had been travelling for 4 months already and heard from a few friends i had made that if i was going to corfu i MUST go to the pink palace...... im glad i met those people!! as soon as i stepped off my ferry from italy i was welcomed by magda and taken to the palace. as soon as i arrived we did a huge welcome shot of ouzo with he other staff and they showed me to my room....when i saw my room i had to make sure it was right....ONLY 20 EURO FOR THIS!! amazing! my own private bathroom with a balcony overlooking the sea. free breakfast and dinner AND since there weren't tooo many other people staying there we got FREE lunch too that the cook prepared for us...it was DELICIOUS! even though i came during january i still had the chance to take out the quads and explore the island...i wasnt expecting good weather but yet again...i was pleasently surprised :) i was only able to stay 4 nights because of previous arrangements and i was sure sad to leave. one thing i know for sure is that i will be back! this time in the summer where im sure its going to be even better!

I arrived like many others (a dodgy taxi speeding along the cliffs of Corfu), (or the Pink Bus) from the main harbour of Corfu. The next thing I know I'm sitting at a plastic table next to a twenty-something year-old mother with her 5 year old daughter in tow. I'm trying to make the little girl laugh and ultimately succeed which is great cause the mom is cute. Then we ALL get served a shot of the famous "Pink Ouzo" by the "Doc" (and that includes the little girl [yep she's FIVE!!]). About two hours later I am walking to the jacuzi to have a soak and out pops the little girl, pink bathing suit and blow-up armbands, dragging a pink lilo and, yep, she's a bobbing and a weaving her drunk ass off towards the beach. Smashed out of her mind on Pink Ouzo and shes only 5, classic! It's one of those places you never forget, and never repeat! Good luck!!!! :-)

The continental breakfast comprises toast, nutella, and cereal. The dance club is place to drown boredom with blackout, though no one, no matter how much they drink, can parallel the alcoholic-creep bouncer, Billy. The booze cruise rides on an old fishing boat probably aquired from some sort of Goodwill-for-heavy-machinery outfit. And the boat is captained by an employee who is a public masturbater. The male workers who seem to be enjoying themselves have been there for less than two weeks and are happy to take a stab--literally--at every female resident. The others are the most depressed souls on the island. If they leave early, they lose half their contractual pay. The bartenders like to fight the patrons. And ususally they lose. Our water shut off once, the air conditioning twice, and the power to the entire kingdom once for about seven hours. Leaving the place was a highlight, second only to hurling beer bottles at the roof of the dance club 200-or-so feet below.

Some parts of this palace were great, the parties and the booze cruise was definately the highlights... I loved the ease of meeting people, even picked up a few, which is kinda rare for me... Killed my liver, and ate pretty well, but my general overview of this place, was that it was an american frat party house run by greeks... appealing mostly and slightly off putting... BUT the bus service which takes you to Athens was the most horrid experience though, as this 10hours journey was ocnstantly interupted by 2 hours stops and the bus driver stopping at 4am, forcing everyone off the bus to get on a ferry (which we had to wait 90mins for it to arrive). When someone pointed out the bridge we could drive over, he insisted that we all must pay him 2euro for the tolls... At this point we weighed up 2euro each + 90mins waiting and just paid him. We noticed the toll to be about 34euro, but the damn rudeness and inconveneince to wake everyone up at 4am to get more money out of them, was just disgusting... Give it a go though - just avoid the bus if you can...

Visited Pink Palace a few months ago during my backpacking trip and I just had to return again. +++ They have hotel style rooms with A/C, 3 course dinner, Breakfast with Fried Eggs, Nightclub, HotTub and Private beach. The best part of 2007 was the addition of the Mythology Kayak Safari (go out on Ionian Sea for HIstory, Culture and Mythology Tour with Wine Tasting on secluded beach) + now they have FREE yoga and meditation classes. The only thing I was a little bummed by...was that I missed the opening of the new Sunset terrace for dinner. At 25 euros it may seem a little pricey but luckily we stayed 4 nights and got the 5th night for free... POSITIVES 4. Yoga and Meditation classes at Sunset down by the Sea 3. Quad Safari around the island, 2. Booze Cruise visit to the Bat Caves 1. Kayak Safari Wine Tasting and learning about Greek Gods & Language

My stay at the Pink Palace was the best on my trip. I was there in the winter, and I had a fantastic time. The food was delicious, and there was so much of it. It was so nice to have good, big meals on, which I did not get enough of while backpacking. It was a great place to relax from all the crazy traveling. The staff and the service were unbeatable. They met me at the port, and the stay just kept getting better. Though there are not as many guests as in the summer, there are still enough to meet some great people and have a party at night. I made some great friends and memories. Totally recommend this place. Thanks Pink Palace for a great time!!

My mother is half Greek and decited to travel with us, so my mother & my 2 friends from school stayed @ the Pink palace in October 2005. It was way better than any of these reviews could describe. We got a 3 bed room with a huge balcony with amazing view of the beach and watched the best sunsets ever all for 25 euros a night meals included. The room was clean & quiet. We met some of the nicest, coolest travelers, & had a great time. The days go like this, wake up @ 11 am, eat breakfast, go to the beach at 13, or take one of their day adventures like quad safari which is an amazing expirience, dinner @ 20, go the hotel bar @ 21:30 for the welcome shot, 0000 go to the pink palace Palladium nightclub ,party out til 4+ going crazy! All the staff are great & they really take care of their guests. They go over & beyond what you would expect. I would recomend this place to anyone who is looking for tons of fun, for great food and who ever loves the sea.!

OK...avoid the Pink Palace like the plague! Seriously, everybody that has been there in the past 3 weeks (July 2006) has gotten SICK! If you are traveling around Europe, the worst thing you can do to yourself is catch a virus! (even if you don't "hook up" with somebody...you will still get it!) My sister and I thought we had avoided it because we weren't sharing "bodily fluids" (as Let's Go says)...2 days after we were gone, it was awful! Try jumping on trains, finding accommodations, seeing sites, and wandering when all you want to do is find a bathroom...you're even willing to pay for it!! Avoid Corfu...overpriced! Go to the real islands...Santorini, Los, etc. Trust me...you will be glad you did!

This place is first class! From start to finish we had the most incredible time here. I've stayed in Greece many times before, but I was still speechless on seeing the amazing views from the private balcony. The hostel is situated halfway down a mountain, and you have the most amazing panorama from your own room. The sunsets are fantastic - I took so many amazing photos. The value for money is very impressive too. The prices are very reasonable, and the rooms are some of the best I've seen in Greece. It's perfect for budget travellers, but I would also recommend it to holidaymakers too. The meals (which are included in the price) are of a very high standard - I was pleasantly surprised. Also, watch out for the happy hour, which is from six until eleven (the longest happy hour I've ever seen!). If you like a party - you can certainly find it at the bar in the evenings! If you're visiting Greece, make sure you drop in here. It's well worth a visit.

This is the most fun my friends and I had on our entire 4 month tour of Europe and Turkey. Hot meals, beaches, parties, and lots of nice people is what this place has to offer. The nightclub was insanely fun and the staff helped us with ferries, flights, renting scooters, etc. Come to Greece just for this place..its honestly that good.

In 2001 near Christmas and after 2 months of backpacking around Europe, we took the ferry from Bari to Corfu and Magda was at the dock. She said we would love the place. And Yes we did. Our 2 day stay ended up to 13 days. The staff were wonderful and helpful, we celebrated our 3 year of marriege anniversary there. There is nothing better than waking up at noon to the sound of the waves on the beach, having a big breakfast, going for a morning swim, meet other travellers and enjoy Greek wine at night. This place was a vacation from travelling and we left with great new friends and wonderful memories. Thank you Magda for taking us fishing, for indroducing us to the Greek way of life, telling us all about Greek history and teaching us all those homemade recepies. We hope to be back soon!!!

Absolutely wonderful place. The Pink Palace is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. It has a way on keeping you around, just because it is so comfortable and the staff are so helpfull and friendly , they make you feel at home. They cover all travellers needs. It's my favorite place in Europe. Magda met us at the port and drove us for free to the hotel. They also drive you back when you leave. The Rooms are great and clean and the views to the beach and ocean are fantastic. I found it to be a great place to relax and have fun and will definately be returning in the near future.

The Pink Palace is a party, not an island - I had such a great time - pink oouzo the minute you walk in the door - some of the coolest and most friendly people you will meet -The staff are so kind and helpful, the food is some of the best meals i had in all of europe - that being, of course, to prepare you for a fantastic evening ahead! Great Times/Great People/ Great sunset views/ fantastic outdoors activities/ They cater to all the backpacker's needs. I recomment it to anyone who wants to have a great time and relax at the same time. I call it a home away from home.
