Great place to settle down for a few days, the only problem is leaving again. It was a few years since I was there (about 4) but I did stay for about a month!
Lovely people there and I would absolutlely recommend it as somewhere to relax without a care in the world
Casa Kiwi where there is something for everyone. We are the only place in Trujillo truly set up for backpackers, whether you want to relax, play or just meet other travellers and best of all; we're right on a secluded beach. Even if you don't consider yourself a backpacker you will find Casa Kiwi very clean, comfortable, all rooms with full bathroom facilities, safe, and incredible value right in the beautiful bay of Trujillo.
Our complex of budget accommodation, bar, international restaurant and internet cafe is situated in large grounds with spectacular views and ensures you peace and quiet not found in town. We also boast having the best spot in town for watching the sun go down over a cocktail or two...it's right in front of the bar (and beach).
Come to Casa Kiwi and we will do our best to make your stay in Trujillo a memorable one. Trujillo has much to offer; whether it's the Capiro - Calentura National Park, cool waterfalls, fishing, snorkelling, the Guaimoreto Lagoon, Garifuna villages along the coast, blobbing on the beach, partying the night away or just swinging in a hammock.
We offer a range of rooms from dorm beds for backpackers who want to stretch their budget and meet other travellers, to private rooms and bungalows for those who want something a bit cosier. All rooms come with hot water .
All of our rooms are bright and airy with large windows everywhere and high ceilings and screen windows that help keep the rooms cool all year round. All rooms are equipped with fans and soft, comfy beds and pillows as well as peace and quiet to help you get a good night's rest. We also have new air conditioned bungalows with private balcony complete with a few more comforts than our standard rooms; sea view of course.
