Ajanta Hotel by Boody
The hotel is comfortable, clean-ish, has hot water, good restaurant, good services and staff, good airport pick up. There's something strange about how they allocate rooms, moving you around until you get the room you booked. The travel agent is a worry - very pushy and overpriced. If you don't accept the package she tries to sell you she sulks and won't talk to you. She corners you in the midle of the night and she also gets you to talk to other people about how good she is but also sulks if you don't say she's the best. Very odd.
Our stay at this hotel was good. We really liked the room, it was spacious. Staff were friendly.
Over nighter's bad luck. I had made advanced reservation through an internet broker. Ajanta's website looked good. So payment was made to the broker. I received confirmation from Ajanta. They did pick me up at the airport as promised. When I arrived, repeated that I was staying just over night as they knew. Apparently, they did not have any rooms availabel even though my name was clearly on the manifest. They then made arrangement with another hotel closeby and took me there. My initial reservation was for an upgraded air conditioned room. I was relocated to a non-air conditioned, low budjet room that normally rented for 8$ (US) a night.
Moral: When you are dealing with middle man (broker who received tje ,pmeu), and a one night stay (low priority) anything can happen. No guarantees in life
There was no driver at the airport. So I took a taxi but the driver riped me off. Arrived at ajanta, they told me there's no free room. So I had to go to another hotel. Be careful guys. Make sure that you get a room there before you'll go there.
During our trip around India I have definately found the Hotel Ajanta the best place to stay. The rooms which are kept very clean and situated , only 2 - 3 minutes from New Delhi Train Station and a 5 minute journey to Connaught Place. The hotel also has a range of very useful facilities. Travel Agents and money changes are situated inside the hotel and there is an excellent 24 hrs internet service which is the cheapest we have found. Adjoining the hotel is a very decent restaurant that is open most hours and serves a range of India, Chinese and Continental food at excellent prices. We have also found the staff at reception and the porters all very helpful and would recommend the hotel Ajanta to any travellers to India as we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. AS USUAL LONELY PLANET NEVER MISS AS HOT!
New Delhi's Ram Nagar, HOTEL AJANTA is a clean and safe hotel anyone can afford. We stayed at their room no. 402, it was beautiful.
Also it features a good TRAVEL AGENCY which can easily help you through india's difficult moving around.
Check out the RESTAURANT as well.

Dear friends,
My wife and i have just returned from India and want to thank you to Hotel ajanta for thier help. We especially appreciated:
1. Hotel Ajanta's very valuable suggestion that i while in USA buy our railway tickets from the indian railways and sent to them, then to be delivered to me after our arrival in the hotel. That arrangement worked perfectly!
2. Their reliable room reservation service.
3. Thier excellent complimentary pickup service when we arrived at Indiar Gandhi International Airport.
4. Thier moderately-priced transfer service from the ajanta to IGI airport for our return to the USA.
5. We are very happy with the 3-day "Golden Triangle" tour. Special thanks to our driver and operator, they are very nice and with very good skills. We had a good time during the 3 days.
6. 24 hour internet is a plus. Keep it up!
Overall, we would say that the entire stay with Hotel Ajanta is a positive experience.
Thanks and regards
James
To Whom it may Concern ! We found the Hotel Ajanta on the Virgin Atlantic website. The most popular books in our Country for Younger Traveller is the Lonely Planet followed by the Rough Guide and we found this hotel there too. So we have choosen this hotel for our stay. As a whole our stay at the Hotel Ajanta was fine and met all our needs. Howerver the only critism is that the hotel may look a little atmosphere although this maybe due to the Renovation work. Thanks for the time and effort the staff went to, to meet our needs! We would very much recommend this hotel to anyone visiting india. Delhi. Many Thanks Barcellos

Hello,
I am back in Canada now and want to thank everyone at Hotel Ajanta and Capital City, who helped coordinate my trip.
I had a wonderful time especially in Rajasthan - Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Khuri, and Jaipur all stand out for different reasons. My driver was very understanding and became a good friend through the trip.
The hotels were all satisfactory, especially Ratan Vilas in Jodhpur & Hotel Ajanta in Delhi were magnificent and will always stand out in my memory.
The train journeys were comfortable, and it was a great help to be met at all the train stations and airports.
I have already recommended your company to many others and wish you all the best in the new year.
Thank you again and God bless,

We have stayed in hotel ajanta in new delhi twice. We were verypleased with the rooms and staff service.
The rooms are cheap, clean and bright with fans, airconditioning and cable Television!
The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. You also aren't put under pressure by them to avail of their tour-unlike other places.
I would definitely recommend other bag-packers to stay in this hotel.
