Villa Sunrise - Review from Leigh and Lorrine
We have been and returned from our trip to Bali. I thought I should
report that there was nothing to do at Sunrise Villa. The TV wouldn't
work because of the power fluctuations, there were no shops to go
shopping at, the waves kept on washing on the shore all night, it was
dark as there was no street lighting. I forgot to turn on my phone (on
purpose) and there wasn't a computer anywhere to be seen. In other
words it was a wonderful place to have a lovely relaxing holiday.
Madi set the days off perfectly with her great breakfasts. We didn't
need to eat again until dinner time. Lorraine and I read several books
each. We played lots of games of scrabble. I won some but lost more
than I won. I snorkeled just off the steps on the beach while Lorraine
watched. We had a walk up to the village each day taking a different
track each time. "Hello, where are you going" was the usual response
from all the Villagers. I remembered after a while that when I took
Indonesian lessons that "where are you going" isn't really asking to be
told by you where you are going but is just an Indonesian way of saying
'how are you going". The staff and guests at Gaia-Oasis were all very
friendly and made us feel at home. That place really is a bonus for you
and Sunrise Villa. We had a massage which was really relaxing and used
the restaurant each night or for lunch. The restaurant fridge stocked
with beer and wine was also a bonus.
Anyway we would like to thank you very much for introducing us to
Sunrise Villa. Dion took us back to the airport via Ubud and in we Ubud
realized how peaceful Tejakula really is.
