Quite frankly the best 6 days of my life. Obviously Rome helped but the Hostel and everyone there made it. Within a day you feel completely at home and at ease with everyone. Its a great base and the free entry to clubs doesn't hurt either.

I booked a private room at this hostel weeks in advance, confirmed it the day before we arrived in Rome, and somehow they actually managed to give it away before we got there. The English-speaking staff were very nice about it but the Italians were reluctant to give our money back and actually tried to put is in a dorm room. It was Easter weekend and very difficult to find another hotel with an open room. It seems this is a normal practice here and I don't recommend it for private rooms. Also, don't pay in advance.

Backpackers hostel is for those who are looking for more than just a nice room, providing an atmosphere for all to enjoy. Located just a minutes walk from Termini station, enabling our guests easy access to the airports and the trains while being walking distance from all of the citys's attractions including the Colleseum and the Trevi fountain.
Backpackers offers affordable but smart accomodation with all rooms having en suite bathrooms. We provide italian style breakfast, free internet access, free Playstation 2 and DVD all of which are designed to make your stay in Backpackers as homely and as fun as possible.
Upon arrival you will be given a free map of Rome and our friendly English speaking staff will advise you of all the best places to visit, day and especially night, so that are guests can explore the real Rome and not only the tourist sights. We have no curfew and welcome both party goers and more mature guests alike.
