Freedom Traveller Hostel - Review from Kelly

This hostel was the worst I've ever stayed in. Here's a break down: No single sex dorm rooms, despite their claim BEFORE we booked that there were- we ended up in an apartment setting (2 bedrooms, 1bathroom,8-12 people total, all guys except us) Our room was 2 blocks away from the actual reception desk, down a dark alley. There was no heat, unless you count a broken space heater which they would not replace (and it was 30 degrees F at night) We also had an open door to the outside balcony since it was warped and could not be shut. By" luggage storage" , they mean leave your bag in the lobby at your own risk with the receptionist who was in and out of the place all day. There was no hot water, no towels, no blankets except for sheets, no DOOR on the communal bathroom. I'll never go back, and I would advise anyone against staying there. Try Alessandro Palace instead--Via Vicenza 42, Rome, Italy It was cheaper and extremely nice, right down the street from this dump.
