So Young's Happiness Guest House - Almaty - Reviews & Contact Details

As other reviewers on other sites have said, this is more akin to a homestay than a hostel - So Young has a spare room and opens her home to guests. However, this is BY FAR the cleanest budget place to stay in the city, and So Young is absolutely wonderful. She is genuinely welcoming and will help in any way she can, often cooking for her guests, but at the same time does not "hover" or infringe on your privacy or plans. As a woman traveling alone, it is a great option. Also, the location is completely central.
