For me and my friend this hostel was great. We came a cold night in february and we found it very cosy and friendly. Nothing to complain at. The free-food-box was great. If I come back to Riga, I hope do, I will stay here. Riga is forever in my heart.
I stayed there this summer and me and other guests who I met there agree that this is one of the best hostel we´ve stayed. Nice rooms, clean, amazing staff and good ambient in the common room.
I didn´t see any of the problems that Robert mentions
It´s certainly not a big mistake to opt for this hostel, but it´s not the best deal in town either. I actually found a neighbouring hostel (Marstalu Street 6) better.
The room at Riga Hostel was good, the staff was friendly, but there are too few bathrooms even when the hostel is not fully booked. The staff could make sure that they are kept cleaner. Also the locks of the rooms don´t look very safe, and the internet connecting happened to be down every time I tried.
Probably the best hostel in Europe. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, the rooms and facilities are clean, the hostel feels safe and relaxed. Great price, excellent location. But...if you stay there, respect it's chilled out atmosphere... very cool place.

Our hostel is fully equipped with all what you need on your travel.
There is free internet connection on every room. one free computer on our rest room where also you can see a lot of satellite channels on TV or just read some books or magazines. When you will be hungry you can cook what you want on our new comfortable kitchen with big fridge, microwave, coffee machine with free breakfast coffee and big table to sit around and speak with other travellers about your adventures around the world.
And if you need we can pick you up from Airport.
