The rooms are small, devoid of any ventilation, very dark and have an intense mildew odor. The outdoor steps are VERY slippery with moss, so watch out! I have shared rooms with nine other travelers sleeping on mattresses on a dusty floor in Cairo, and been comfortable in a 70 cent room in Luxor, but this place MUCH worse. We wisely fled.
Hostellerie de France is only situated 2 minutes drive from Blantyre City Centre just off Chilomoni Ring Road. The House is set in tranquil spacious gardens with fantastic views and a large swimming pool salt water and Spa.
