Newest Backpackers Invercargill NZ by Sparkys Backpackers
Sparky’s Backpackers “Off the Rails” is new on the block in Invercargill, Southland NZ. We are small in size but BIG on atmosphere. Our theme is ‘Railways’, as Sparky (Craig) was once a train manager on the NZR Southerner passenger train between Invercargill & Christchurch, which is sadly no longer running after 100yrs. We now have a major acquisition as we have recently secured props from “The Worlds Fastest Indian”, movie starring Anthony Hopkins. The film was shot on location both here in Invercargill and on the salt flats in Utah USA. We offer you the thrill of speed and the passion of a man who wanted to push himself and his machine beyond impossible boundaries. You can view the movie for free @ night, also if the night is fine we have a chin wag and sing along around our bonfire in the backyard. We have 9 beds. 2 x 4 single beds shared @ $25.00, 1 Double @ $55.00,
Also if you are travelling by small “Campervan” and have no bathroom we offer free off street parking and the full use of our facilities.
