I had a fantastic time staying at the ymca, it is really clean with good facilities and it has an amazing terrace that looks out over the harbour. They had a BBQ in the evening with really cheap food and it was a great chance to meet and chat with other guests and the staff. Also, it is RIGHT in the middle of the city, you couldn't ask for a better location
Bergen YMCA Youth Hostel is located in the middle of Bergen city centre, right by the famous fish market, the tourist information centre and a few minutes from the beautiful old town of Bryggen. We are open for the summer season every year, from May 1st to September 30th.
The whole building was refurbished in 2002. We have rooms with 2, 4 and 6 beds, as well as dormitories with 12 or more beds. Bed's start at 125 NOK per person. The 2, 4 and 6 bedded rooms all have new ensuite bathrooms and a small kitchen area with a fridge and cook tops.
Clean heated bathrooms are located on each floor for dormitory guests. We also have a fully equipped communal kitchen.
We have a supermarket within 50m and serve breakfast for 45 NOK during summer. A laundromat is located nearby.
Other facilities we have include a TV room, internet cafe, dining area and a roof terrace with a BBQ and the best views over Bergen Harbour. Tea and Coffee is available from reception.
Prices advertised are NON Hostelling International prices. If you are a member of HI, just show us your HI card on check in and you will be charged just the members price.

The train and bus stations are located a 7 minute walk away.
From the airport take the fly-bus and get off at the tourist information centre. Cross the square towards the church and we are on the street leading off to the left hand side of the square.
