The Point Backpackers Hostel - Lima - Reviews & Contact Details

This place is more than great! After 1 and a half year of travelling I found this is a real gem among all those mediocre accommodations in South America!!! Comfortable, spacious but cozy dorms, all named after guests, former staff members, the late hostel dog etc. Barranco, the neighbourhood is very pretty in day time and goes wild at night. The boys from The Point (all foreign ex-travellers) make sure you will miss nothing of it and will guide you through an awesome and safe Lima by Night! The Point knows exactly what you want as a backpacker because they are backpackers themselves! They are very dedicated as well to improve Lima's rather bad reputation and they are definitely doing a good job!

This is the place to be in Lima: owned by 2 great guys, helpfull and cool staff, an awesome bar, comfortable beds, clean facilities, big kitchen, beautiful neighborhood and last but not least Lima's fantastic nightlife around the corner!! They have a hostel in Arequipa too which I'll check out next week...

Seems like things have changed. Bed Bugs, Rude service, just not what I heard about the place.
