Jonorowe, I actually fully agree with you that it is a place that looks cosy, comfortable and neat – that was what attracted my attention in the first place, and made me walk in to ask for information. I work for a travel guidebook company and wanted to place them in one of our books! The look and location were not at all the point of my contention. The point was the front desk service failed miserably. For what reasons, I do not know, and now do not really care to find out (the hostel never got back to me, despite my emailing them directly). Thanks to Sarah for the explanation though. It does help throw some light on the behaviour. Jocelyn
