For the surf adventurer out there who is searching for un-crowded waves in rugged, unspoiled surroundings we offer the Transkei as an attractive destination. Situated between KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape, the Transkei is one of South Africa’s last untapped resources when it comes to surf travel. Transkei is for those who wish to escape from the cities and crowds and go exploring the many secluded coves, bays and points for good, quality surf and the most spectacular beaches. Our Wild Coast accommodation is owned by Pro Surfer, Justin Sanders and his partner, Lee-Ann Smith. The Guest Lodge is situated on the South side of the Mdumbi River. The Guest Lodge sleeps 8 people: 2 – En-suite Rondavels – each with double beds. 2 – Dorm Style Rooms – separate bathrooms – two single beds in each Our kitchen has a freezer, fridge, stove, cutlery & crockery, toast & kettle – we run off a generator. A lovely chill room and eating area is next to the kitchen with a spectacular view. Braaiing is no problem as we have a huge braai and chill area as well as a bonfire! Distance from the beach & River: 2 minute drive to the beach and a 6 minute walk!
