Review from Caroline Preston by Caroline Preston
i stayed at this place and just loved it! firstly when i checked in the staff were just so helpful to me. i had had problems with my luggage an the airline had to send it on when they found it. the reception guy made lots of calls for me and brought the bag to me when it finally turned up.
the place had lots of common rooms: there is a large tv room which is good, dining area is big and the bar is really fun.
all of the people that stay there are real travellers, not like some places where its all kids and groups. met some really nice people from all over.
all in all i would highly recommend this hostel to all.
thanks
Horrible and much too expensive!
This hostel is a very very very great place!! So great that when i've been in London, I didn't go anywhere, just stay at this hostel! U can meet some crazy ppl, but so nice and friendly. It was my best holidays thanks to this hostel and ppl inside. Staff r just so helpful and nice. I met ppl that i wont forget!
The location is great too, near many shops and hyde park and noting hill. But the best thing in this hostel must be the tv room ^^ and the ITA bar! Open wednesday until sunday and drink is just very cheap (2£ ??!!) If u want to have fun in london: GO THERE!!!! I'm sure, I'll be back!
THX to cindy, maxime, vincent, l'arabe (^^), clemence, aurelie, guillaume, tanga, vincent, romain, jordan, ricard, Kyle, adam, Scott!! Dont forget us! xxx Almisrat
RATING WORSE THAN BAD. This is easily the worse hostel I have ever stayed in. I booked this hostel on the reputation of Astor Victoria which was clean comfortable and had helpful staff. Unfortunately none of this can be said about Astor Hyde Park. The staff were not hugely helpful especially when problems occured with bed numbers being mixed up or a guest losing his wallet. The building was falling down around you, paint stripping from the walls and mould in most rooms. I could go on about many other ills of this hostel but the list would be to long.
MY ADVISE BOOK SOME WEAR ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Hyde Park Hostel is London’s most famous and fun hostel, about 100m away from Hyde Park. If you are looking for location you don’t get better than this.
You will be perfectly positioned to visit all the major attractions London has to offer. You are within walking distance of Notting Hill Gate (where they shot the movie) and the famous Portobello Market. Kensington Palace is on your doorstep, and Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus and Buckingham Palace are all within ten minutes by bus or tube. The Bayswater area is an excellent location for travellers and working holidaymakers. There is a lively main road with many restaurants, bars, cinemas, shops and numerous other facilities.
Our staff are young traveller's who will gladly help you in any way they can.
We cater for the 18-35 year old traveller and photo ID is required.
