This Coral hotel was a nightmare. It is about 2 hours by public bus from the port or the airport, we had to pay 80 euros for a taxi and when we arrived there we had to wait for a very long time to get to the room. When we finanly did get the room, it was very dirty, nothing like they describe in the internet, no hot water, and the service was terrible. In fact the few people that we met there were also complaining. I would not reccoment this place to anyone, and i would definetely would never come back. I understand for something to go wrong, but the information they give on the internet and the price is very misleading. I travel quite often and i have never had a worst expirience.
Ok, maybe this is not a review as such, but I now live in Roda and receive so many comments from tourists who have read reviews that are not 100% correct. The Coral is a very nice hotel and I would agree with most comments about the staff. I have used the bar facilities and can honestly say the staff certainly do their utmost to make your stay enjoyable. Indeed my son and partner have stayed at the Coral and they had no complaints whatsoever.
My only comment is the description. Roda does have quite a nice beach, but that is a short walk away. The seafront in front of the hotel is mainly pebbles, not sandy. This stretch of beach which runs between Roda and Acharavi is mainly pebbles all along the stretch. Roda itself is sandy as are some parts of Acharavi. I state this because since living here this is the main complaint we have heard....... holiday companies etc describing the beach incorrectly.
We have just come back from corfu and stayed at the coral hotel in roda what a great place to stay the hotel is great and the staff are the best what more can you ask for
having visited the coral on many occasions, i am really dissapointed in the previous negative review on the coral , the hotel is family run ( great family) the hotel is in the perfect locale, the rooms with sea view are too die for the food freshly cooked great. all the staff are so helpfull and friendly . could not ask for anymore from a holiday , this is why i shall be returning too the coral as many times in a season as i can. stevie jay

In front of the hotel there is a very bad see, brown colour, just for the boat, no beach!!!
The room was dirty and very old.
No-TV in the room!!

Breakfast very poor
Bill of the restaurant not very clear.
The bathroom was very old, and not have a windows.
Not way to came back there.
Is better to look for a apartments, you have more quality a spend the 50%.

This is a great value hotel and we found it very cheap and very friendly. They provided transfer from the main port to the hotel, they even gave us free drinks!
