The Worst Experience Ever by upsetraveler
I would never recommend this hostel to anyone! I never write reviews of the places I stay in (so i hope that give you an idea of how bad this place is). The website is misleading, it took pictures of one room and does not show the squashed conditions of the other rooms. Upon close inspection the sheets have holes and the mattresses are not actually mattresses but small medal springs that stick through and break. The bathrooms are despicable with mildew and mold crawling up the walls of the shower. Another fun development was that there were minimal amounts of toilet paper that made it difficult to feel comfortable there. But the worst part of my experience there was being robbed. It is suspected that it was an inside which means that the people there cannot be trusted. The thieves bi-passed locked doors and came in while we were sleeping to steal many valuable possessions and a large amount of money. I can only say bad things of this place; NEVER GO, or go if you are interested in contracting a disease!
Staying here was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Not only were there bed bugs, beds were lashed together with duct tape and fell apart and members of the group we were travelling were robbed! Beds N Roses is unsafe and unclean. Never ever waste your money on this horror movie hostel. If I could I would give this place no stars.
We stayed here for four days. We left on the fourth day because we were robbed---all our cash, two cameras, and all our pictures were stolen . It was clearly an inside job because no locks were broken, and there were THREE locks between ourselves and the street. There is no reception and we didn't see anyone the entire time we were there. It was extremely scary---be very careful! The manager was not forthcoming at all and simply told us that these things happen, and that he would not refund us for the two days we left early.
Aside from that, it's dirty and falling apart. Check out the Broadway Hostel one street away (on O Street)---it's MUCH better!

Location: The guesthouse is situated a right by the famous Hungarian Opera House in the beginning of the world heritage listed Andrássy avenue. It’s a pedestrian zone where more fancy cafés, pubs, restaurants and entertainment place can be found. The famous Váci street or the Danube bank are at 3 min. trip by the yellow underground nearby or 7-10 min. by walk. Deák tér (connection point for all the metros) is 2 min. away by the underground or at 7 min. walk.
About the surrounding us facilities:
Beds N’ Roses Hostel is surrounded by plenty of restaurants, clubs, pubs, cafés, shops, but you can find internet café, money exchange, two banks, ATMs(cash machines), fast food restaurants (McDonald’s) within a short walk as well. Andrássy avenue or the not far Váci utca (str.) are famous boutique and shopping streets as well. Parking possible nearby. By the nearby underground stop, connecting to the other metros at the Deák tér stop, you can reach simply any main point of the city in max. 25 min. trip.
About the guesthouse inside:
The guesthouse can be found on the first floor of a typical renovated Pest downtown building. We have few double, twin and 3-4 bed rooms. All the rooms have separate own bathroom containing shower, basin and toilet. We have well equipped kitchen with cooking possibility and refrigerator.
