Hotel Pearl Palace - Review from helen berry
If you are interested in art or simply want some ideas for your interior décor, then Hotel Pearl Palace is an absolute must.
Not only are the rooms individually decorated with lovely artifacts, but the painted ceilings are exquisite. The whole hotel oozes character and creativity- everywhere you look you discover something new, and the attention to detail for a hotel is astonishing.
On top of all this, the hotel is in a quiet location, the staff are very helpful and friendly, and the funky rooftop restaurant is busy every evening. Pearl Palace is clean, and the room was much better than other (and often more expensive) hotels we have stayed in.
Little touches also make you feel more comfortable- such as the complimentary guide to Jaipur that the hotel owner, Mr. Singh, and his wife have written, with tips and useful information about getting around. There is absolutely no pushy sales of tours etc, and no awkward moments from staff wanting tips…. if you chose to make a donation to the staff you give a general anonymous tip at the counter.
Budget only in regards to its price, this is a mid-range in quality, and anyone who looks straight at the mid-range section shouldn’t disregard this hotel because it is in the budget section- I am sure you will not be disappointed.
This is the first hotel in India that I would feel confident in recommending to family and friends, and it is one of the best value hotels we have stayed in during our entire 10 month trip.
I know it sounds that I am very enthusiastic, but it is a long time since we have found somewhere where the owner seems to have got it just right.
