Nice hostel in a quite place by Sergei
I spent three nights at Crafoord Place in Oct, 2009. The hostel is located close to the centre of Stockholm, about ten minutes walk from T-Centralen. If you don't like walking there is a bus stop nearby and buses will get you to Gamla Stan or Djurgarden. The hostel is in a quiet place, on a terrace with almost no traffic. At my time it was very quiet inside too. There is no common noisy hall for parties. Beds were comfortable. Just two showers but I never had to wait. The kitchen was well equipped, free tea/coffee, and it wasn't overcrowded (at least when I stayed there). Wi-fi in my 8-bed dorm worked but signal was low and connection was lost from time to time. The ladies at reception desk were nice and helpful; I personally like to say 'thank you' to Ingrid who kindly assisted me with booking/recommendations. Some people complained the hostel was hard to find. I felt no problem with a map. In fact, I think some privacy is an advantage for a traveller like me who visits Stockholm to enjoy its beauty, not for night parties in hostels. So, if you are looking for a place to have a good rest after long day Crafoord may become your choice.
Nice hostel in a kind of hidden place, very clean. There were two separated toilettes each with a sink (but no mirror) and a shower. There's a kitchen with two fridges where you can sit and eat or drink the free coffee and tea provided by the hostel. In the fridge there's a section of free food (that was either not labeled by the owner or was just left to be used up). There's also free hygiene articles. We stayed in a 4 bed room. Everything was still really new. The furniture is mainly from IKEA (very nice!). It definitely had a hostel flair, with the bunk beds and all ;). The people staying in the hostel where well into their 20s, some younger, some older. It was mostly really quiet, because there's no traffic noise. In the night it could become louder, when all the people were in. You have no curfew, because you get a code for the front door, which is also really nice. There's a computer with Internet, which had good speed for a free public computer. All in all I really liked my stay there and the proximity to the city is also a plus.
