Phangan Great Bay Resort - Koh Phangan - Reviews & Contact Details

Ok this place couldnt have been much worse... I mean for the price of the place, the rooms were ok(just) apart from the fact I had to use the taps to clean myself after the water went to a boiling hot drizzle mid shower. Then the problems, Id just got to thailand and had 500 english pounds on me which id turned to baht and a bunch of travellers checks. So me and my friends go out to explore after our first nights sleep, cut a long story short I get back and 5000 baht was missing from around 30000, my room had also been cleaned an no sign of any break in!!! So I was pretty sure this was a cleaner. I go and explain to the hotel staff, the guy seeminlgy in charge called tony. He is obnoxious and rude, he kept saying not their fault I should have kept my money safe and when I told him I was going to the police cause it looked like their staff and he wasnt trying to help me he told me "This is thailand, u england, we do what we want!" At which time I thought it was a good time to give up talking to him and leave since a bunch of not so friendly looking thai men were standing staring at me. So yeh id avoid this place like the plague, unfriendly, intimidating and scary!
