Wattana Resort is very surprising. Surprising because when you book at some very cheap rates you expect not a lot for your money. Upon arrival expectations are raised because the place is great and the bungalows are very nice indeed. Smack bang on the beach at the end of Chalok Lam Bay the place offers lots of different price alternatives from very cheap basic no thrills fan bungalows at 350 Baht a night up to some villa type bungalows made from brick that can house an army yet are only 2500 Baht a night. The beach is private with its own bay and the food and beer taste great and are very cheap. Chalok Lam Bay is a great place to stay if you are looking for a quieter destination on the party island of Koh Phangan. Very laid back.
