I was driven from the airport to a hotel which I had organized through my travel agency. I wasn’t comfortable as the staff didn’t treat me well. I walked down the street and stumbled into the Hanoi Fortune Hotel. It was certainly a different experience. Thank you to all of the staff who made my short stay in your hotel pleasant.

Clean room, nice staff, great location. I felt it was good value. I will stay again if I visit Hanoi.

My partner and I had been travelling in Vietnam for some weeks from south to north. We found out about the Hanoi Fortune Hotel via Trip advisor. It was a refreshing change in comparison to some of our previous experiences. The rooms were clean and up to the standard shown on their website. The staff were great as nothing was too difficult. We were most impressed with their travel advisory service and went on a number of day trips including a 3 day stay in Halong bay. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi.

We stayed 3 nights at Hanoi Fortune Hotel with our son and enjoyed every minute. The service was warm, attentive and helpful. Rooms were large, clean and well equipped. We booked a trip to Halong bay and Sapa in the Hotel. The total cost was US$250 per person. The trips were really good and great value for money. Thanks Mr. Tommy! We had great time in your Hotel and will definitely be back.

By a stroke of luck, we took a friend's recommendation and stayed at Phu Do hotel while visiting Ha Noi in July 2009. What a delight and wonderful Phu Do hotel turned out to be! The hotel staff was always politely friendly and extremely helpful to any concerns or issues that we had regarding what to do, see or where to go in Ha Noi. Besides the exceptional and personal services the hotel staff provided, the room was just the right size for two persons and neatly kept and that the hotel's location was centrally located with short walking distance to most places and events in Ha Noi! Lastly, to top it all off, a fresh basket of fruits (we were lucky to be there in Ha Noi during the fruitiest seasons!) somehow found its way to the top of one of the two dressers in the room every morning! So anyone who wants to stay at a hotel that is nice, clean and centrally located with a wonderful staff should give Phu Do hotel a call! I am sure the experience that you will encounter at Phu Do Hotel will bring you back to it times after times!

We stayed for 2 nights at Hanoi Fortune Hotel after our trip to Halong bay. It was the lovely time especially after we had big trouble with the 1st Hotel we stayed in Hanoi, what is call Lotus Hotel. The staffs of that hotel were very crude and disgusting. We have to suffer from their bad attitude coz we did not book tour with them. When we come back from Halong bay, we had a recommendation of Hanoi Fortune Hotel and luckily we came there. The Hotel has a great location in Hanoi old quarter, the room is extremely clean and fine for USD 30 . The staffs here very friendly and polite, they all speak English well. We would love to stay here again next time

Hanoi Fortune hotel, located in the Old Quarter and just a 5 minute walk from the Hoan Kiem Lake is a very comfortable place to call your home while in Hanoi. The friendly and welcoming staff are more than accommodating and the rooms are warm and extremely clean. My first visit here June 1-7 I stayed in Suite 211, a very spacious room with beautiful hard wood floors and a huge walkout balcony over-looking Hang Bo Street. Breakfast is included with the price of the room and complimentary tea and coffee is available from 7am until midnight. I highly recommend to anyone the Hanoi Fortune Hotel; its simplistic charm makes it a hard place to leave. As a side note, for those you may have read the review left by the Kansas City couple, April 2009. Honestly, they could not be more off! Yes some of the night staff sleeps in the lobby from midnight to 6:00 am but that’s Viet nam. Moreover, remember where you are, this is the Old Quarter of Hanoi. . . protected by what we know as the “historical society”, the term speaks for its self.

My Son and I just spent 4 nights at this lovely, small (about 24 rooms) hotel in Hanoi. The ideal location of the Hotel make our first stay in Vietnam easy, just few blocks to Hoan Kiem lake – the heart of the city . Getting up early and doing morning exercise with local round the lake is a good experience. The beautiful, spacious rooms and the personal service were outstanding. I would recommend this hotel highly.
