well what can i say that has not already been pointed out, again all reviews are spot on with this hotel service is the key, they can not do enough for you and with charm and a certain down to earth attitude i have to say i will return again next year , the location is quite brilliant and i must admit that the guys on reception are Tom and Rose who i must say were the best front off house i have had the pleasure to meet, two other guys in reception were also very good but there names elude me so thanks to all who made it a great stay and il see you again next year

The Splendid Star hotel has only been open for over a year. This results in rooms and public areas that are in excellent condition. The layout of the hotel is great. The morning breakfast is extensive. We booked through this website. I saw no other hotel that we would of preffered to stay at. The staff were good especially the operations manager. The booking prices for tours appeared to be the same as the tourist office price.

The Splendid Star hotel is well located. It is quite safe to walk around the Hoan Kiem lake, which we did several times. Our room was very comfortable, with a king size bed and a small sitting area with sofa and TV. The bathroom was well appointed and the walk-in closet was large. Breakfast in the hotel is delicious with a good selection of Vietnamese and Western food choices. Overall, I enjoyed staying at the Peninsula very much, highly recommend it, and think that the location cannot be beat.

After taking a long and exciting tour around Viet Nam, We returned to Hanoi to stay at the Splendid Star hotel. We were not disappointed, our room was lovely. In fact it was so good we had to tear ourselves away to venture out side. Would recommend this hotel the service was excellent

The Splendid Star Hotel is the best hotel in its class in Hanoi. My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Splendid Star hotel of 3 nights at the end of March. Our room was luxuriously furnished. The hotel staff were extremely courteous and professional in their communication and we felt well taken care of throughout our stay. we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Hanoi.

We chose the Splendid Star hotel on price. The hotel is pretty well located, around a 5 minute walk to the nearest Church. We stayed in a deluxe room which was elegantly decorated with a great bathroom and free internet access and probably the best and most expansive room service menu that I have ever seen. In general, a very good city centre hotel, not a bad location with well decorated and cared for rooms. Good service but nothing to write home about and certainly the best I have had in Hanoi.

The service is excellent, room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was very professional and very friendly, even though we were three hours late and arrived at 4:00AM. Hotel will arrange for airport pick-up for a very reasonable fee; don't pay the driver, as it is added to your hotel bill. You will be very comfortable here and will feel safe. The owner will visit with you after dinner and make sure that things are to your satisfaction

Everything was perfect and I needn't have worried. For the price, I think Splendid Star is good value for money, this hotel is fantastic. Within easy access of the main tourist sites - 5 minutes shopping street and Hoan Kiem Lake.

The hotel is made up of a cluster of very tastefully reconstructed rice barns - the owner is an architect and it shows in every detail. Our room was perfectly clean and very comfortable, with air-conditioning (which we didn't need at the time of year, we were if anything a bit chilly), a hot shower and a TV and DVD. There's lots of space around to chill out and relax, and DVDs and free high-speed internet. If we are back in Hanoi, we would certainly go back to this hotel and would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking to experience more than just professional service and another bland western-style hotel.

Cleanliness is not at an perfect level since I have a sensitive nose, but I would say it is at good level for most people. The location is perfect for people who are there for shopping as some busiest streets are just within few min walking distance. I would recommend this hotel for people who would like to stay comfortably and yet do not have alot of budget, and for people who are mainly there for shopping.So, for the price, it is well worth it. The buffet breakfast is well worth it in the morning and reasonably priced. There is Wi-Fi at the hotel, completely no need to pay for it .Location is good and close to the night market in Hanoi, only about 10 minute walk - but its not ideal with lots of luggage. This is more due to the number of steps to get up to the KFC .. Lots of shops around and good restaurants.. Would stay again if going back to Hanoi.

Good staffs, good service,clean and tidy room and good location,ight in the middle of Hanoi. We enjoyed our stay at the Splendid Star Hotel and found the staff to be efficient and friendly. The position of the hotel was so good being close to the Malls and the old part of Hanoi Street.. Room includes snacks, tea-coffee facilities and safe. The TV has a decent selection of international channels + pay per view movies. Wireless internet, costs completely free for 24hrs.We would certainly choose the Splendid Star again when staying in Hanoi.

We enjoyed our stay at the Splendid Star Hotel and found the staff to be efficient and friendly. The position of the hotel was so good being close to the Malls and the old part of Hanoi Street.We had one concern as my friends is a Coeliac and cannot eat Wheat so we did have a problem with eating in the hotel but we were able to find suitable restaurants nearby.A few of these are go-go type bars but most are French type pubs. There are also many restaurants within 100 meters by walking very easy . Enjoy your stay

The staff that I had contact with were all very nice. They all spoke English well enough to be able to communicate easily. They were all very polite and demonstrated service well beyond the cost of the room. Not only were they polite, I felt that they were also friendly. What the hotel lacked in space, they made up in many other ways. They appear to be expanding at a rapid rate and are already in many other popular cities. Loved the breakfast. That was a real bonus.Will definitely stay in the same place if I should visit Hanoi in future.

It was a great hotel for a budget in that area. If you are looking for a decent place to sleep I would recommend it. I been to Hanoi many times with the group tour but this is my first time going there on my own, booking this hotel through Internet. The service for all the staffs in this hotel is excellent, I was surprise when I step into this room, is bigger than what i have expected although the front door and reception area is small. Location is perfect, only few minutes walk to the nearest shopping, entertainment centre and train station. These is also a very huge wholesale market next to the hotel, many many cheaps bargains there, ideal shopping place for budget travelers. This hotel give you excellent value for your travel money: Friendly staff, good service, comfortable rooms and a good restaurant. They can offer guided tours and know how to suggest some entertainment in town.
