Old Darling Cafe Hotel - Review from Joe Smith

I recently stayed at the old darling cafe hotel, which also apparently has many other names such as A to Z queen hotel. though the room was OK, they try to take advantage of new comers to Vietnam and on the morning after they arrive they will try to aggressively sell you tours but for 50 to 100% more than the street price and they will also lie!, for example they sold me a tour to Halong Bay for 75$ and when I arrived to the tour I found out that other than me the other 15 people on the boat payed roughly $50, also they sold me a tour to Sapa for 120$ when others I met on the trip paid 80$ on the street... also once you paid them the smiles and nice service went away and it was clear the money was the only thing on their mind all along... it was so funny when I heard someone in Saigon complaining about some scammer in Hanoi when I asked him which hotel is he talking about he told me David from the Old darling cafe hotel! BEWARE!
