Rural Pub Tours enjoys bringing visitors on day trips out of the city to experience the traditional Rural Irish Pub and beautiful scenery. Our typical tour lasts 9 hours, departing Dublin at 3pm and returning at midnight.
In that time we head straight for the hills to enjoy a Guinness at the Blue Light Pub. Our next stop is the world famous Johnnie fox’s Pub, after a spectacular drive passing the Sugar Loaf Mountain we arrive in Roundwood Ireland’s Highest Village for a quick drink and visit to the loo if needed.
Next we travel along the historical Military Road built back in 1798 by the British Army trying to expand their supply routes and capture Irish rebels, this road leads us to Glenmalure Lodge an old hunting lodge built over 200 years ago where we enjoy a tasty home cooked style dinner.
After dinner and having spent enough time sitting by the fire getting over a true farmers style feed, we make our way to the next pub Fitzgerald’s of Avoca famed by the T.V. series Ballykissangel. After chatting with the locals and telling all your jokes its time for our last visit of the experience.
The last pub we visit is in the village of Redcross set in a beautiful valley in Co. Wicklow, as its getting on in the night by now we like settle in and spend plenty of time in Redcross to enjoy the music & dancing before leaving at 11pm and arriving back in Dublin city centre by midnight.
