I went to Iran in 1999. First stop. Teheran at night to catch a paln to Shiraz. Wonderful friendly people .then i get a really cheap hotel everythings cheaps in iran .the food ,the hotel,travel plane fares at 10 pounds. Shiraz has nice bazzar and two shrines to hafioz and sahadi [persian poets ] the shah cherag shrine has got to be one of the most spetactcular buildings int he world wih facted mirror work. On to Pasgarade and Perpepolis. The ancient cities of the persians the sair way with its freises of various people of the empire bringing gifts and the winged bulls etc most wonderful; .also the tomb of Cyrus the great a most moving place.... then it was by bus to Isfahan. Cost 3pounds for 400 kilometers .goit there and the city is one of the most beautiful in world the maginficent square and its two breattaking mosques to see the sun set is a highlight of my life...then the friday mosque another stunning building Iran has the best architecture in the world. Then on to Bam a city distroyed in the quake but hopefuly rebuilt. It was a wonderful place as was the mosque at Mahan and the gardens too. Teheran noisy busty mordern and yet has fine museums. The glass one and archeological. In short the most wonderful countery ive been to the archtecture is stuning ... a wonderful country. the berad is nice to ...
