Country Overview
Economically Bolivia is not well off; if you are into understatements, that more or less sums it up for this poverty stricken country. It is however rich in so many other ways with wide achingly lonely and beautiful stretches of landscapes, remnants of mysterious civilizations that have vanished into the dust and pampas, and adventure sports of whitewater rafting, sea kayaking and mountain climbing.

Daily Budget
US$15 to US$25 per day should give backpackers a reasonable visit as Bolivia is not a very expensive country to tour, US$20-30 per day will provide restaurant food and comfortable bed in a hotel and for US$35 a day, well you can really go boss, and live in style.

When to Go!
Bolivia's summer and rainy season is from November to April, when unremitting downpours, mud and bugs reign supreme in the tropical lowlands, and winter is from May to October when it is wise to bring warm clothing to keep out the cold. The peak tourist season is from late June to early September during winter which is the country's main fiesta season.
