Copenhagen City Overview - History

Denmark’s capital for the past six centuries is far and away the biggest Scandinavian city on the block. It has an attractive appearance, not having gone the route of the towering concrete monstrosities of other modern cities, yet it still offers all the conveniences of today’s mod cons. This ‘friendly old girl of the sea’ has great history and buildings that hark back to a time long gone, as well as cafes and up-to-the-minute shops, including the world’s longest mall, Stroget, five streets combined in the center of the city for the shopaholic.
