City Overview
Odense is Denmark's third city and lies on the island of Funen, better known as "The Garden of Denmark" because of its neat lawn-like fields and the huge amount of fruit and veg grown here.
It's a pleasant provincial town with an old centre, fine museums and a cracking nightlife. It is also the birthplace of Hans Christian Anderson - you remember, all those books your mum and dad read to you when you were knee-high to a grasshopper.
Daily Budget
A daily budget of $25-30 would give you both accommodation and 3 meals each day. If you want to eat and sleep upmarket then you would need an extra $30-50. Always remember Denmark is quite a pricey country - they tax everything you can think of.
