City Overview
This ancient city that has been around for well over a thousand years is filled with history and buildings that reflect its passage through time. Revolutions and uprisings are no strangers to it, nor is industry, commerce, or culture.
Its two million people live in an atmosphere of hedonism and sophisticated excess, mixed with poverty and homeless vagrants, opportunity and hopelessness; in short it is a vibrant, modern city with all of the best and most of the worst in today's world.

Hungary is a backpacker's paradise and US$25 a day will provide reasonable restaurant meals, a private room and train fare.
