City Overview
This incredible, breathtaking, awesome place has so much to offer that it is hard to know where to start. Thousands of years of history lie beneath your feet, ancient architecture stands before your eyes, and the sheer romance of the city fill your senses utterly.
But there is also the wine, the food, and the sunshine. Drink your wine in a Piazzo designed by Michelangelo, eat pizza at the bronzed foot of a god, and at night mix with hip young Romans who understand the meaning of La Dolce Vita.
Daily Budget
Italy, like most beautiful things, comes at a price, but if backpackers stay in hostels, do some self catering, and try bumming their booze instead of buying, then just maybe they can come out on US$50 a day, but for a more memorable holiday of comfortable beds, restaurant food and visiting decent museums and attractions, then budget on nothing less than US$150 upwards a day.
