This hughmungous concrete jungle, possibly one of the ugliest cities in the world, the living space for almost a quarter of Japan’s population is also one of the safest cities in the world. And the people are groovy; friendly, honest and very helpful, so have a cool time in this wonderful city that never sleeps. Densely packed with concrete and very few parks to break the monotony of highrise buildings, there are a few places like Asakusa and Yanaka that will take you a whole world away. Getting to know the real Tokyo is a fun experience.
