Norway Country Overview - History

The 'Land of the Midnight Sun', Norway is a rugged, magnificent land of fjords, mountain and glaciers with long summer days and equally long nights in winter.

For the active explorer it has mountain climbing in Andalsnes, glacier hiking in Nigardsbreen, ski resorts and cross country skiing trails, and bird watching in the islands of Rost and Vaeroy. Norway is also a country with a wealth of historic sites, quaint fishing villages and attractive unpretentious cities.
