City Overview
With three thousand hours of sunshine a year Fuerteventura is an all year round holiday destination. It's seductive sandy beaches are the finest in the Canaries and the worn and weathered volcanic landscapes and the amazing sand dunes make this an island of unusual outstanding beauty.
Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands but with a population of less than 40,000 inhabitants it is the emptiest of the islands. The island tends to appeals to beach lovers and watersport fans.
