City Overview
Geneva is located on the banks of Lake Leman between the Alps and Jura Mountains, this provides a breathtaking landscape to explore and easy acces to ski runs. The city itself is not terribly big and easy to eplore by foot. Geneva has many green areas and a diverse mix of cultures thanks to its histiry of religious and ethnic tolerance. the headquarters for the UN are situated here.
Daily Budget
If you are a bit of a cultural fundi buy a Swiss Museum Passport US$24 (US$20 students) giving you free entry to 250 museums, galleris and castles around the country for a month. Available from Tourist Office. Budget accommodation costs US$11-42 and budget meals at US$6-12. Switzerland is not the cheapest of countries so look at spending about US$60.
