City Overview
The small city of Lausanne is surrounded by vineyards, tiny villages and the largest freshwater lake in Europe. In Summer the lake becomes the centre of attraction, you can swim, sail, fish, waterski or just hangout on the shore and watch the world go by.Switzerlands biggest university is in Lausanne and this brings a youthful spirit and a diverse, multi-ethnic feel to the city.

Grab a 2 day Laussane card (US$12) offering free transport, reduced museum entry and discounts n meals at Manora. Again Switzerland is rather expesive. Budget accommodation is around US$11-42 and budget meals US$6-12. A daily budget of about US$60 will let you enjou the sights and keep your stomach full.
