City Overview
This city of colour is one of the most exciting places in the USA. With a melange of creeds and culture it has many faces, some sordid, some magnificent, and some heartbreakingly poor, but all fascinating. Known as the ‘Big Easy', New Orleans has a vitality and effervescence that is spontaneous and seductive, and springs from its African, Indian, Cajun, and Creole heritage manifested in its vibrant music.
Daily Budget
Camp out and doing your cooking and it is possible to come out on around $50 and upwards a day here. $100 to $120 a day will give you a much more magical stay, with a decent place to crash at night and some of the divine cuisine of the area.
