Convento do Carmo - Lisbon - Comments & Reviews

Once the largest church in the city, this was half-destroyed by the earthquake of 1755 and is perhaps even more beautiful as a result. Its small archeological museum contains treasures from monasteries that were dissolved after the 1834 Liberal revolution.
