For lovers of Melbourne, with a more temperate climate, Tonic is a must in old Sydney town. Its located on Kellet Lane in Kings Cross, if you are walking down from Darlinghurst Road it can be a little worrying solo late at night. Door staff are polite and friendly and they are very egalitarian, even a-D list celebs line up (re: a couple of starlets from the TV show neighbours demanding to get in as they were serious actors and TV celebs). Very nice decor inside, love the portrait of the girl with the mou'. Luciious upstairs lounge, period style furniture and red velvet wall paper. Ken, Katie and all the crew how do you do it? By the way, the Beer is reasonably cheap, heaps of variety and its becoming more popular as word of mouth spreads.
