I really enjoy the East End Exchange. Good atmosphere & plenty of good lookin people!!!! If ur comin to little Adelaide (which I call, just a big country town) then definately check out the Exchange. One of the best pubs/clubs we've got!! Might see ya there?!?!?!? :o)

oi, the exchange rocks, don't dis it!!! the fact that its dirty makes it so much more fun... the atmosphere is always peachy and theres so much to do, doesnt matter what mood your in, theres a place at the sexchange to be... chill in the beer garden or shake your lil booty of on the dance floor, pass out on a couch or just sit and watch everything go bye at the bar... love your work exchange xXx

Well, the security got the sack, so that says all that needs to be said. The place is cool, getting a bit ghetto tho these days - few too many hardkores. The image is taking a bit of a battering but worth checking out.

Yes, the exchange is a great place to party.
It's the bouncers that let it down... they're actually horrible, you can say they have a hard job; excuses excuses. It is called respect and the way they act is not respectful - whether you're paro or dead straight, unless you're a friend of theirs... don't expect any class or hospitality.

Honestly Peter I dont think you could be any further from the truth, I doubt very much if you were "picked on" I think the place could do with a bit of work. But I think whats holding that place together is its wonderful bar staff and great security staff. I will not go to Cargo, Heaven, anywhere but the exchange because I simply dont feel safe anywhere but the exchange. Tell me Peter have you ever had a guy put his hands down your jeans as though you're public property? I have and the security staff removed him and were unable to ban him not bcoz they didnt want to bcoz management woldnt alow them to, and then a week later he did it to another girl. I agree with Amez they do a bloody tough job I certainly am not capable and if you respect them I put my daughters life on it they'll respect you back I have been going to the exchange for 4 years and never have the bar staff or security staff dne anything to offend me or my friends. So Good on ya guys keep doing what you're doing bcoz you're doing a great job. Respect goes a very long way. Jami B

I think the exchange is great! Yeah sure it is dirty, and a bit scummy at times - but it is so much fun. I have a comment to make about the security too...They do a great job!!! I actually personally know all of them and they are great guys! Whoever has issues with them should just think about what kind of job they do and see if they think they could do it. Its tough, there are a lot of scrubbers who try to get in there and they have to monitor it. If u actually take a step back and watch, security cop alot of shit from a lot of patrons at any place - not just the exchange. Its a stressful job, your looking after other peoples safety. I have seen the security boys get a bit pushy but sometimes force is required to get through to a drunk guy! Maybe you should stop thinking you are better than the security and try and level with them, if you show them respect i guaruntee they will return this courtesy.

A complaint towards security staff, do not wish to make it formal, but a sturdy warning that your security staff is out of control.. I was abused man handled picked on by staff there.. I was waiting for my friends to leave the pub as it was the end of the night.. Bouncers, and their friends in no uniforms abused and humilated me.. They proceeded to let their friends in and noticeably only females.. I was told to f.... Because i refused to leave next to the car yard? if i left i woul not have found my friends.. The worst offender was number 1.. He would not cooperate, refused when i asked to talk to the manager.. and again telling me to f...., and basically forced me onto the road.. My question!, why was i picked on?. They are abusing their power, and should be stopped! Its dangerous! Thank you for your time i will take my business else where.. Pitty after 2 years of being a consistant patrent and spender there.. I have not decided yet but i may warn police that they are dangerous towards the innocent! and usually allow the thugs to keep walking.. Goodbye!

At the eastern end of Grenfell st, this joint is packed on Thursday and Saturday nights (after 11). It's grubby but has a great atmosphere w a dance floor, playing mainstream pop, r&b and hip-hop. The place to be if you're under 25.
