Since previous write ups the Bank has now changed hands. I must admire the intense imagination with picking the new name its now called errrrr Banko. The atmosphere & clientelle remains almost the same but I would say make your own mind up, pay it a visit.

Whilst I agree with most of what has already been written about The Bank (nice lively atmosphere, friendly fast service, interesting decor (especially in the toilets, where the old safety deposit boxes used to be) and good sports coverage on the big screen), I have to say that the food is very over-priced for what you get. The micro-waved pre-packed chicken wings at around 6 euros are soggy and come with a nasty Andalouse sauce. Meanwhile, the pre-packed burger is around the same price, but is accompanied by crisps! We asked for proper chips, but were told "sorry, we don't have them". Whilst a visit is certainly worth, do make sure you arrange to eat before or after!

Probably the largest of the Irish bars in Brussels. Has a congenial atmosphere and televises all the UK / Irish fotball &, Rugby games. Small menu restaurant but food quality is excellent. On Saturday night there is live music on stage, mostly good quality local bands & musicians. Excellent bar staff always ready with a smile and a friendly comment. The only real critisism would be that the bar prices are very steep.
