door selection by Helena
With few friends we tried to get to this Karaoke last night (for the record: Monday 29th december). And to our huge astonishment the bouncer did not let us in, telling one of my friends she could not get in as she was wearing sport shoes (these were girly white sneakers, far from being a Nike Air like massive pumped up models).
There was NO ONE inside, the place was literally dead and he insisted and insisted giving us some stupid explanations. I hate this kind of door selection, treating people like s..t.
This was going to be my first time in this place but will never go there again. I hope they will bankrupt and close down very shortly.
This is a bar that at 10 pm becomes a karaoke bar. One of the worst places I have been in. The bar itself is ok, the choice of songs many, but the staff are so rude!
I was there waiting for my friends, there were around 10 to 12 of us that was supposed to meet. All the girls were let in, but the guys were refused entry. Sure they had a sign that says the management reserves the right to refuse entry anyone but they did not even give an explanation to the guys on why they were refused entry, and the staff did not tell us that there were people looking for us outside. Even worse, the bar was EMPTY! there were maybe only 12 people inside, all girls, so I really dont understand why they turn down customers. Dont go there, not worth it, and the staff are really rude and strange!
Snap is situated at the end of Rue du Bailly, off Avenue Louise. It is basically a Kareoke bar. (I hear you groan) And before I went to this small but very friendly bar I probably would have said the same. The clientelle are from just about everywhere and nobody takes themselves too seriously on stage so everyone receives a rousing round of applause. The owner Kaleed and his team of sexy bar staff try to always make it fun for everyone weather on your own or in a group. The bar welcomes parties, and EU Commision people often are to be seen there for birthdays and special occasions. Definately worth a visit, preferably on a Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
