Cheap and Fun by prfrancesca
With good beer for 1 euro and awesome music to dance to, how can you go wrong? The size was definitely a downfall, but we still had a great time. We had dinner and decided to head in afterwards, which ended up being perfect timing. Despite the fact that it starts up early, it certainly wasn't ready to end early.
Great happy hour that should definitely be taken advantage of.
Hey, I`m from Vilnius and I`ve celebrated New Year with friend in Celtica pub. So, I have to say that night was hot and we really really liked the public (yes, they were some kind of freaky ones ;D and also I met very interesting people from France, Croatia and so on), music (especially on the first floor, rock was absolutely great) and the prices there are quite cheap. We spent a great night there, so I strongly recommend to visit that club!
I HAVE LIVED IN BRUSSELS FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS SO CELTICA USED TO BE A LOCAL...ITS NOT BAD, IT IS IN A BAD AREA SO YOU WOULD WANT TO WATCH YOUR BACK. REALLY IF YOU ARE SINGLE IT IS QUIET GOOD. BUT SOME THINGS YOU SEE IN THERE..PEOPLE NEARLY HAVING SEX IN FRONT OF YOU.. YA ITS THAT BAD. YOU WOULD WANT TO KNOW HOW TO STAND YOUR GROUND. NOT FOR THE WEAK!!!!!

Only minus is the size of the place, after 11pm you can hardly move on the dancefloor, or dance...
I am a Black male from the Caribbean, and I went to Celtica once. I got in easily, and had a great time while meeting lots of very nice people all while just stood at the bar. The music is pretty good, and the atmosphere is lively. I am going again tomorrow, pretty early as well, so if I am denied entry then, then I will come back and report it.

im white and i wasnt let inside once either
in addition, the guy itself is arab (i think) so i dont think he would be prejudiced against other arabs
but well, thats my opinion only

Celtica is great place to go in Brussels!!! There is lots of nice people and the stuff is great..Cheap beer and good music until the morning.. I have been to Celtica many times when I lived in Brussels and I think that bodyguards doesn´t have a problem with white, black or green people. This place is so full on fridays and saturdays so they sometimes let go in just french-speaking people.. So, when you go in during weekend midnight, just say bon jour and you are OK.. :)

went in about 1.00am . atmosphere was rocking. Met Nordic people -very interesting very funny hope to see them again in Celtica same time next year.

I am from India and I was enied entrance many times and i have watched many other gusy entering.
But next time just try giving the guy 5 Euros he will let you in:-)

I am a black male from London and on several visits to Brussels I have not been able to get into Celtica on a Friday night. Every time I am told that there are too many guys inside. However, when groups of white guys try to enter they are not prevented. Then the policy changes to only regulars. I have seen it time and time again that blacks and arabs are not allowed in as easily as whites. Has anyone else noticed that?
I just loved the live music earlier on and then the DJ's choice of music was great, danced until 6am, fantastic atmosphere.
Absolutely fantastic, we went on a Hen night weekend on the 28th-31st July 2006, we were welcomed every night the price of 2 euro's just could not be beat. We danced the night away getting in to Celtica at about 11pm and leaving usually about 6am sometimes even earlier. This bar made our weekend as the locals and the bar staff were amazing, We got lost looking for the bar the second night we were there and a man we didn't know walked us straight to the door...Now thats why I will most probably go back time after time.
12 Gals a mixture of Newcastle and coventry folk in Brussels oh what a weekend we had.
So visit and enjoy you won't be sorry xxx

Celtica is the place to be around the Grand Place. Very easy to get to, and the best part about Celtica is the prices. Happy hour starts at 1pm and goes untill midnight every day. Pints of Maes draught are 2 euros and this price cannot be beaten anywhere. Guaranteed to always find alot of people especially if there is a sporting event. All the bartenders speak English and there are always alot of friendly people. Upstairs disco on the weekends is also a good time. Live acoustic music on most nights makes this place electric. Without a doubt, this is one place you must go if in Brussels even for just a night
